JOB OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Women’s Initiative is seeking an individual passionate about and dedicated to the mission of building women’s entrepreneurial capacity to achieve the following major goals:

Goal 1: Support Client Services by researching community organizations to approach for formalized partnerships, to strengthen the poverty alleviation and support services for women throughout the Bay Area.

Goal 2: Create a manual, documenting best practices for partnership development and cultivation, and provide training on these practices to staff across the agency.

Goal 3:  Support the Program Department’s community building efforts by representing Women’s Initiative at community events, participate in community outreach, and work with staff to organize and develop community-building procedures.

Goal 4:  Work with Successlink Specialists to design a business connector outreach and corporate cultivation and retention program by organizing events to build our business connector base.

AMERICORPS VISTA OVERVIEW AND SALARY DETAILS
AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965 and incorporated into the AmeriCorps network of programs in 1993, VISTA has been on the front lines in the fight against poverty in America for more than 40 years.

Each VISTA member makes a year-long, full-time commitment to serve on a specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency. In return for their service, AmeriCorps VISTA members receive a modest living allowance and health benefits during their service, and have the option of receiving a $5,350 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award or a $1,500 stipend after completing their service.
