Successlink/Avance Specialist, North Bay
Reports to: Executive Director, North Bay
Hours: 40 hours per week, occasional nights and weekends required.
Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 DOE

The Opportunity
Women’s Initiative is seeking motivated, energetic candidates to apply for the Success Link/Avancé Specialist position. This full-time position is a key player in the Program Department. The Success Link/Avancé Specialist is responsible for building programming for the business and personal growth of graduates of our business plan training classes. The SuccessLink/Avancé Specialist will work with local leaders and volunteers to provide monthly seminars in English and Spanish, quarterly Business Connect events, action groups, one-on-one coaching and consultations, and client marketplaces.
Qualified candidates will possess a diverse skill set that ensures success in providing a coherent post-graduate program, maintaining optimal client servicing, and building strong business relationships that will help grow our donor base. The Success Link/Avancé Specialist is a creative and performance driven person that demonstrates a commitment to providing fantastic customer service to our diverse clientele. Superior communication skills in English and Spanish are a must.
Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Client Outreach
- Successfully raise awareness of and enroll graduates in the SuccessLink program
- Manage enrollment, assessment, attendance of and communication with graduates
- Surpass ambitious goals to increase enrollment and retain graduates in SuccessLink
- Create and distribute appropriate materials to promote SuccessLink
- Understand graduate needs through quarterly case management calls
- Program Development
- Tailor a coherent SuccessLink program that supports the growth of graduates’ businesses
- Schedule and facilitate seminars relevant for different business phases
- Schedule consultations and one-to-one coaching for graduates
- Plan client marketplaces with graduate vendors and help ensure high attendance
- Maintain organized and consistent client files and database
- Business Relationship Building
- Organize Business Connect events to bring graduates in touch with business world
- Expand network of volunteer experts willing to donate expertise
- Establish strong relationships with Business Connectors to increase their involvement through both skills and financial donations
- Work with local leaders to open doors and bring opportunities for our graduates, which may include certification approvals, commercial retail development, or benefits
- Management
- Participate in monthly program department
- Train and manage volunteers and interns
- Provide accurate and timely reporting and database entry
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Passion and commitment to the Women’s Initiative mission!
- Prior small business ownership experience
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds
- Excellent computer skills including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Excellent written and presentation skills
- Must have a car
- Ability to work some weeknight and weekend hours
- Ability to lift moderate loads on a periodic basis

- Event planning experience
- High level of integrity, responsiveness, professionalism and ability to set boundaries
- Existing business/community relationships
- Self starter, creative thinker and performance driven
- Superior time management ability and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-moving work environment
- Highly detail-oriented
- Data entry experience
- BS/BA + 2 years relevant experience preferred
