NATIONAL PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Salary: $80,000-100,000

The National Program Director serves as the leader of Women’s Initiative’s program development, curriculum and quality management. S/he oversees all management and program operations in their site, hires and supervises staff, interns, volunteers and consultants who assist staff. S/he must possess a high level of commitment to meeting the economic needs of lower income people, have a reputation for high ethical and moral standards, and be enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced and diverse environment. Women’s Initiative is a matrix organization so team work, respect, trust, communication and collaboration are essential qualities.
Responsibilities
- Lead innovative program development efforts by working collaboratively with cross functional teams and establishing effective task forces of stakeholders including clients, potential funders and direct service team members. Maintain a culture of integrity, accountability, value and high performance
- Oversee the execution of multiple programs and projects by managing the program team training and performance. Encourage team efforts by creating an environment of inclusiveness, mission and camaraderie.
- Identify and fulfill program staffing needs including accountabilities, training, policies and procedures, recruitment, selection, orientation, work plans, performance objectives, professional development and compensation strategies. Ensure all program staff consistently provides high quality services that promote the WI brand regarding client support and satisfaction.
- Develop a budget that provides and supports organization’s mission and financial needs. Anticipate budgetary needs and control operating cost that will help staff carry out goals and provide quality services.
- Identify and cultivate funders; manage grant compliance.
- Develop strategic plans to support national program expansion including hiring, onboarding, and management needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 3 years as program director at a comparable organization with direct supervision of multiple levels of staff and volunteers. Experience working with diverse communities including latinos, women and low income communities is required.
- Minimum 3 years experience in developing adult learning and multicultural learning curriculum and programs
- Experience with managing operations, quality control of programs and performance of staff
- Experience with managing micro-enterprises, business ownership, business start-up/business cycles at the senior level
- Experience in project management, program development and team management.
- Coaching and consultation experience
- Graduate Degree in business, community or economic development, or a related field.
- High level of technology usage and proficiency
