No Personal Information Required
To access the base content on our site, you will not be required to provide us with personal information. We do not collect personally identifiable data from users based on visits to our web pages. However, if a visitor chooses to opt-in for more information through registering for a Women's Initiative newsletter or email notification, or sends us an email, we will have access to additional information.
General Information for womensinitiative.org Visitors

My Women's Initiative
We have contracted with Network for Good to provide our email and online donation services. We use Network for Good to send email newsletters and information to Women's Initiative supporters. Women's Initiative and Network for Good have agreed to not use this service for transmission of unsolicited bulk or commercial email.

- We're against spam. You can unsubscribe at any time, and all of our email communications that come through the Network for Good system have unsubscribe links.
- We only collect personally identifiable information that you knowingly and willingly provide us.
No Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
We do not sell or provide our supporter or donor lists to third parties, other than those we use for specific support of Women's Initiative efforts, such as Network for Good, and who have agreed to not provide such information to other third parties. As a general requirement of law, we will respond to documents in a legal proceeding, such as court orders or subpoenas, if we receive any.

Donor Privacy Policy
Women’s Initiative is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. We have developed this privacy policy to ensure our donors that donor information will not be shared with any third party.
Women’s Initiative provides this Donor Privacy Policy to make you aware of our privacy policy, and to inform you of the way your information is used. We also provide you with the opportunity to remove your name from (or opt out of) our mailing list, if you desire to do so.
Contact Information
The Women’s Initiative collects and uses various information from donors that includes: amount donated, address, telephone number, donor comments and e-mail address. Tax laws in the United States and the State of California require Women’s Initiative to keep contact information and contribution level of donors on file.
Women’s Initiative uses donor information to understand donors’ needs and provide excellent service. Women’s Initiative will never sell, trade, rent or share names (unless released for publication), e-mail or mail addresses, or telephone numbers of our donors. We will list the name of your firm along with our other donors on our website and in printed marketing materials but will remove your name from the list at any time at your request. Women’s Initiative will use contact information (e-mail, telephone number and address) of donors for these purposes only:
- Distribute receipts for donations
- Thank donors for their donation
- Inform donors about upcoming fundraising and other activities of Women’s Initiatve
- Internal analysis and record keeping
- Reporting to relevant U.S. and State agencies (these reports are not for public inspection)
- Contact donors about changes to this policy
Properly anonymized donor information is used for promotional and fundraising activities. Women’s Initiative allows donors the option to have their name publicly associated with their donation unless the donor explicitly chooses to remain “anonymous”.
Financial Information
All access to donor financial information is strictly limited to professional staff of the organization whose job requires them to process this data. No such data is given to any person, organization or group who does not need to access those data. Donor records are kept in a secure file cabinet.
To accept contributions via credit card, Women’s Initiative uses accredited online payment processing services with world-class security and data privacy policies. Unless requested by the donor for the purpose of processing recurring donations, Women’s Initiative does not store, nor does it have access to, your credit card information, bank account numbers, or other account data sent to those processing services.
It is our desire to not send unwanted mail or information about Women’s Initiative to our donors. Please contact us if you wish to be removed from our mailing list.
